“It was a strange twist of fate as to how Matt & I met, but I'm glad it happened. I was fortunate enough to spend the weekend with Matt on his 45th birthday, last February. He wanted a relaxing & all expense paid birthday weekend, so that's what he got. We messaged each other occassionally just to see how the other one was doing. What a pleasant surprise when he showed up at my house on Thanksgiving & hung out for awhile. I never thought that would be the last time I'd see him. I'm still in shock. What a huge loss to the world. My deepest sympathies to Matt's family. He truly was a hell of a guy!”
