Laura Lynn Fineran, the daughter of Keith and Debra (Lansink) Fineran, was born on June 2, 1978, in Ida Grove, Iowa. She received her education and graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High School with the class of 1997.
After high school, Laura went on to further her education at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated with an A.S. in Human Services in 1999. In the same year Laura was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Marzia.
Laura was currently employed at the ethanol plant, Elite Octane of Atlantic, Iowa. During her days off she enjoyed spending time with family and working at “The Bar” in Lake View, Iowa. She was doing what she loved to do making new friends, telling stories with old friends, cracking jokes, and giving the old timers a hard time. She truly was “one of a kind”. Her laugh and smile would light up a room and with a heart of gold she was a magnet to all the kids.
Laura was the traveling queen and loved adventures. She was always packed and ready to have fun. She treasured her daughter, Marzia and just recently made many timeless memories on a trip to Costa Rica, Cabo and Cozumel. Her nieces and nephews were next on her priority list. She attended everything she could and was always up to shenanigans.
Laura’s pride and joy was her family. She couldn’t get enough family time. Whether it was sitting around the table conversing, playing cards, taking shopping trips, drives around the block, laughing until we cried, helping with hair do’s, appointments or whatever her family needed or wanted Laura was always there. She loved spur of the moment adventures, mystery trips, or even “fun runs” to make sure any kid within the vicinity got anything their parents didn’t want them to have or simply what their little hearts desired.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Marzia Shivers of Fort Dodge, IA; parents Keith and Debra “Deb” Fineran of Arthur, IA; brothers Jim (Mandy) Fineran of Sigourney, IA and John (Sarah) Fineran of Carroll, IA; nieces and nephews: Ava, Addison, Ella, Trey, Tayten, Hayden, and Haxton; great nephew Hoyt; grandmother Leila Lansink; extended family and dear friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Bernard Lansink; paternal grandparents Emmett and Catherine Fineran; nephew Emmett Fineran; aunts Barb (Jack) Milner and Lois Fineran; uncles John and Jim Fineran.
