Linda Jean Minor, age 66, Battle Creek, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at her residence of Battle Creek, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek, Iowa. Reverend Kevin J. Freese will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The Christensen ~ Van Houten Funeral Home of Battle Creek, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Condolences may be sent online to www.christensenvanhouten.com

Linda was born in Battle Creek, Iowa on September 9, 1947 to George and Ferne (Petit) Wonder.

One of Eight children, Linda was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek.  She Graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1965.

Linda married Rolland Minor September 24, 1966 and to this union three children were born, Darren, Amy and Brad.

Linda enjoyed life and her family and friends.  She especially enjoyed watching and playing with her grandchildren. During her long illness she was always worried about everyone else and how they were doing. Crystal was her special caretaker and Caitlin, Justin, and Bella would stop to see her daily.

Left to cherish her memory include  her children Darren Minor of Battle Creek, Amy and Jason Ranes of Quinton Oklahoma, Brad and Crystal Minor of Battle Creek, Grandchildren are Alyssa and Brandon Baker of Quinton Oklahoma, Carli Minor of Denison Iowa, Sarah Fannon of Sioux City Iowa, Terry Lundeen of Battle Creek, Abigail and Journey of Battle Creek. A Brother George Wonder (Carol) of Henrietta N.Y., Three Sisters Marlene Lake (Richard) of Iowa City, Phylis Sargent (Don) of Whitewood S.D., and Julie Wonder (John Boger) of Battle Creek, Two Brother-in- Laws; Laverne Schroder of Sioux City, Iowa, Herbert Bathke of Omaha, NE, a Sister-in-law, Arlene Wonder of Ida Grove, Iowa; Son-in-Law Jimmy Baker of Quinton Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, everyone her “favorite”.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents George and Ferne Wonder, a brother Jim Wonder and two sisters Barbara Schroeder and Janice Bathke.

She will also be missed tremendously by her two faithful companions; dogs Lucky and Patches.
