In Memory of Linda L. Jensen

Linda Louise Jensen, age 72, of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center of Omaha, Nebraska.

Private Family Graveside Services were held in the Bethlehem Cemetery of Jacksonville, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Kimballton Town Hall located at 207 N Main Street in Kimballton, Iowa.

Linda Louise Jensen was born on May 12, 1954, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Maynard Joseph and Shirley Louise (Paulson) Miller. She attended school in Atlantic and graduated from Atlantic High School. Following graduation, Linda entered the workforce. 

On October 1, 1971, Linda married the love of her life, Douglas W. Jensen, in Jacksonville, Iowa. They started their life together in Kimballton, Iowa and were the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Christiana and Liz.

Linda found her greatest happiness in raising her daughters, traveling with her family, caring for her garden, and making lasting memories with her grandchildren. She and Doug shared a love of auto racing, enjoying local races as well as watching and attending NASCAR events. Linda also treasured the time spent relaxing and making memories at the lake house in Lake View, Iowa. 

Linda cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Edna, and counted that bond among her most treasured memories. She also enjoyed watching Minky blanket shows and sharing warmth, comfort, and kindness with others through the gift of those blankets. Linda will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. 

Left to cherish her memory include her daughter Liz (Allan) Schmidt of Holstein, IA; grandchildren Alex (Nick) Hansen of Laurel, NE, Preston (Angelika Solis) Schmidt of Battle Creek, IA, Grant Schmidt of Ida Grove, IA, Danielle Bowlin of San Diego, CA, Jayda Bowlin of Earling, IA, Addison Schmidt of Holstein, IA and Ty Bowlin of Harlan, IA; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Cindy Jones of Ames, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maynard and Shirley Miller; husband Douglas Jensen; daughter Christiana Bowlin; granddaughter Jessie Bowlin; and brother-in-law Denny Jones.
