Linda Jean Carson, born on October 26, 1961, in Gulfport, Mississippi, lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, faith, and service to others.

Linda attended the Mississippi School for the Deaf, where she graduated with the Class of 1981. Following graduation, she pursued her passion for hair care and beauty by enrolling at American Beauty College. Through hard work and determination, she earned her cosmetology license in 1982. Linda found great joy in helping others look and feel their best, and she took pride in the care and attention she gave to those she served.

Known for her meticulous nature and strong work ethic, Linda developed a successful career in housekeeping. She worked both for private clients and within the hotel industry, earning the respect of those around her for her reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.

Although she was not blessed with children of her own, Linda had a special love for children. She delighted in watching them grow, learn, and mature into adulthood. Family was especially important to her, and she treasured the time spent with loved ones. She also enjoyed fishing, finding peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life.

A devoted and faithful Christian, Linda held deep roots in her Baptist faith and possessed an unwavering love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was a source of strength, comfort, and purpose.

In her spare time, Linda remained actively involved in the Deaf community, where she built lasting friendships and offered support to others. In her later years, she spent much of her time with her dear friend, Jody.

Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, strong faith, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Survivors include her family: Issac (Roxie Alexander) Scales, John (Angela) Scales, Obbie (Peggy) Scales, Annie Mae Tillman, Janie Flody, Betty Wyatt, and Jackie Wyatt; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
