Myrna Henrich, age 81, of Kiron, Iowa, passed away peacefully June 24, 2026, at the St. Anthony Regional Medical Center in Carroll, Iowa.

Myrna Sue Henrich, the daughter of Ronald and Eva (Spicer) Richards, was born on June 19, 1945, in Sac City, Iowa. She received her education from Sac City High School and then attended Wayne State College.
On November 13, 1984, Myrna and Richard L. Henrich were united in marriage in Newell, Iowa. Together, they blended their families as Richard warmly welcomed Myrna's children, Michelle and Shelon, joining them with his own children, Tracy and David.
To know Myrna was to know warmth, spirit, and unconditional love. She believed that family was life’s greatest blessing and devoted herself to nurturing those around her. Myrna treasured family get-togethers. The Christmas season was her favorite time of year. She loved the snow, giving gifts, decorating every room with her collection of snowmen, and her tree that was lit with great care. Creating memories with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren meant the world to her. Myrna taught those she loved the importance of thoughtfulness, hard work, and gratitude.
Myrna was also known for her spunky spirit and quick wit. She had a knack for making people giggle, speaking her mind with honesty and grace, and bringing energy to every gathering. Whether sharing a funny story, teasing those she loved, or tackling life’s challenges with determination, Myrna’s vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Richard Henrich of Kiron, IA; children Michelle Dougherty of Sac City, IA, Shelon Bormann (Shawn Gaustad) of Blaine, MN, Tracy (Rob) Ashley of Moville, IA and David Henrich of Aurora, IL; grandchildren McKaela (Gabe), Noah (Ally), Kaetlyn (Clay), Blake, Wyatt (Elizabeth), Brett, and AJ; great-grandchildren Hudson, Maezlee, and Lorelai; sister-in-law Bonnie Richards; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Eva Richards; brother Loren “Sweed” Richards; and sister Beverly (Robert “Bob”) Carnine.
Though we will miss her dearly, her love, lessons, and the way she lived her life will continue to inspire her friends and family for years.
