Dane Lee Treiber, the son of Jory R. and Terri A. (Sheer) Treiber, was born on April 17, 1997, in Ida Grove, Iowa. He grew up in Ida Grove, where he attended Odebolt Arthur-Battle Creek Ida Grove High School and graduated with the class of 2015. During his high school years, Dane was active in athletics, participating in football, wrestling, and golf. Following graduation, he continued his education at Iowa Lakes Community College, where he studied heating, cooling, and air conditioning, preparing him for a career in the HVAC industry.
After completing his education in 2017, Dane began his career with DeRocher Heating & Cooling in Sioux City, Iowa, where he worked until 2024. He then joined Lakeport Heating & Cooling, where he continued his HVAC career and was currently employed at the time of his passing.
On April 15, 2023, Dane was united in marriage to Payton Schultz at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa. Together, they made their home on an acreage outside of Hornick, Iowa, where they built a life together and were blessed with their daughter, Halle, on January 3, 2025. Becoming a father brought Dane tremendous joy, and Halle quickly became the light of his life. On March 1, 2025, Dane and Halle shared a meaningful milestone when they were baptized together into the Lutheran faith.
In his free time, Dane enjoyed spending time playing golf and was a member of the Sloan Golf Course. An avid outdoorsman, he had a love for hunting and fishing. Dane never knew a stranger and had a natural ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he was someone others could count on when they needed him. Above all, Dane treasured his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and son, and the time spent with those he loved meant more to him than anything else. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
