“Larry, I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a great man with a wonderful sense of humor. I last saw Uncle Harold when he was hospitalized at Mercy at the same time my mother, Irene Witte Carstensen, was there in 2012. Uncle George told us he was there, so my sister, Clarice, and I went to see him. When he finally realized who we were, he was so pleased to see us. A very special memory, and memories sustain us during difficult times. God bless you and your family. Betty Carstensen Hall”

“Larry and family, What a wonderful, full life Uncle Harold had! Although I haven't seen any of you in about 50 years, I still remember coming to visit all my Wunschel relatives in Iowa. How much I enjoyed those times long past. Larry, I think about the summer you let me drive the pick-up in the field. You may not remember doing that, but that young, impressionable 8-year-old girl - now 59 years old - remembers it like it was yesterday!! So, please accept my sincere condolences and extend my deepest sympathy to all our family! Much, much love!
