Dorothy J. Schuttler, age 85, of Dallas Center, Iowa, passed away on February 5, 2017, at the Spurgeon Manor of Dallas Center, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. The Pastor Chad Lierman will officiate. Burial will be in the Cushing Cemetery of Cushing, Iowa. A Visitation will be held on hour prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Dorothy Jean Schuttler passed away on February 5 2017 at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center Iowa where she has resided the past seven years.  Dorothy was the youngest of eight children born to Mae (Walters) and Merritt Lundberg of Galva.  On October 3, 1953 she married Darrell Schuttler. After living in Omaha, Dallas, and Kansas City, they retired and moved back to the farm in Cushing.

Dorothy enjoyed her family, quilting, basketball games, and traveling. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell, her daughters Terry Tenery and Gail Mays, her parents, and six of her siblings.

Those left to remember her are her son Brad Schuttler (Linda), daughters Shirlee Geer and Barbara Vos (Stuart), her sister Genevieve Meyer, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
