Tracey Edward Miller was born on February 21, 1958 to Marvin and Dorene Miller in Ida Grove, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ida Grove. Tracey graduated from Ida Grove High School with the class of 1976 and spent several years working at Midwest Industries and doing carpentry work for United Builders. He was involved in the construction of the new St. Paul Lutheran Church.
In 1978, he joined the United States Air Force and was first stationed in Rapid City, SD and then on to Germany for the remainder of his 4 year enlistment. He enjoyed traveling throughout Germany and the surrounding areas.
After returning to the United States, he joined the Air National Guard and worked as a civilian contractor. Tracey worked all over the United States on underground fiber optic cable. After 20 years Tracey retired from the Air Guard. He worked at the bio diesel plant in Galva, IA until its closure. He was then employed at Western IA Energy in Wall Lake, IA as a supervisor up until present.
Tracey enjoyed his life traveling scenic backroads and taking pictures. He loved family activities, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and his Harley. He never missed a new baby born into the family and they always received a Hawkeye outfit. He truly loved those Hawkeyes and then that motor cycle which is every mother’s bad dream.
We will love him and miss him forever but know our Lord Jesus will take care of him.
He is survived by his mother Dorene Miller of Ida Grove, IA; sisters Camy Jo (Steve) Lunzman of Chillicothe, IL, Peggy (Gary) Rainbow of Madison, WI, Cindy (Thorben) Duitsman of Sac City, IA, Misti Baker of Ida Grove, IA; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Tracey was preceded in death by his father Marvin Edward Miller and brother-in-law Jack Baker.
