LeRoy Eugene Tillotson, age 63, of Kiron, (formerly of Battle Creek, Iowa) passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his home, of Kiron, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek, Iowa. Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiate; with Committal Services following in the Mount Hope Cemetery of Battle Creek, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Battle Creek, Iowa. LeRoy Eugene Tillotson, age 63, of Kiron, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his residence of Kiron, Iowa. 

Born August 29, 1954, in Battle Creek, Iowa, LeRoy was the son of Clifford and Opal (Van Houten) Tillotson. He graduated from Battle Creek High School. A hardworking and dedicated employee, LeRoy worked for Farmland now known as Smithfield in Denison for 43 years.

LeRoy enjoyed taking his annual trips to Albert City to the Thresherman and Collector Show. He loved the outdoors, going coon hunting, taking care of his horses and dogs.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Opal; one aunt and four uncles. He is survived by his brothers Burdette Tillotson of Battle Creek, Jeff Tillotson of Battle Creek, and Tilden Tillotson and his wife Amy of Oklahoma City.
