   Don E. Muller, age 68, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Morningside Healthcare Community of Ida Grove, Iowa.

    Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiate; with Committal Services following in the Mount Hope Cemetery of Battle Creek, Iowa. A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Memorial Service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa.    Don Eugene Muller, age 68, of Ida Grove, Iowa, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Morningside Health Care Community of Ida Grove.

   Don was born April 6, 1950, in Ida Grove, Iowa to Darlene (Wert) Muller and Kenneth Muller. He attended school in Battle Creek, Iowa graduating from Battle Creek High School in 1968. He went on to further his education and graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

   Don valued family and he enjoyed caring for others through his ISI work.  He was proud of his 18 plus years of sobriety and was active from many years in Alcoholics Anonymous.

   Survivors include his sister, Susan (Calvin) Hanneld, Tea, SD; aunts, Lucille Ruser, Ida Grove, IA, Donna Wert and Marian Muller, Spencer, IA; many cousins, friends, and special friend, Kenny Flink.

   Don was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Daniel John Hanneld; grandparents, aunts and uncles, and three cousins.
