In Memory of Cynthia S. Foxhoven
Cynthia “Cindy” S. Foxhoven, age 61, of Ida Grove, Iowa (formerly of Spencer, Iowa) passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.
A Memorial Visitation/Service will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Hap Ketelsen Community Center in Everly, Iowa. Ordained Minister Justin Widener will officiate. Cynthia “Cindy” Susan Foxhoven, the daughter of Duane and Dolores (Burger) Foxhoven, was born February 14, 1958, in Spencer, Iowa. She received her education in Boulder, Colorado when her family moved there in 1963. In 1972 the family moved back to Spencer where Cindy attended Spencer High School.
Cindy married Greg Amick and to this union brought a daughter, Brandy Rae, in 1975. The family moved to Great Bend, Kansas where Cindy worked at various jobs. She lost her daughter in a car accident in 1989. Cindy and Greg would later part ways. Cindy continued to live in Kansas and married David Wiggins. Cindy returned back to the Spencer area and worked various jobs including at the Center Café and later on at her sister’s café in Ruthven, Iowa.
Cindy loved 80’s music and attending concerts when she was younger. She enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, collecting bells and peace signs, and loved her cats. She was a friend to many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Sherri Hansen of Ruthven, IA and Christina (Kyle) Nehman of Ida Grove, IA; 5 nephews, 1 niece, 10 great nieces and nephews; 1 great great-nephew; special friend David Wiggins; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Duane and Dolores Foxhoven; and her daughter Brandy Rae Amick.
