In Memory of John F. Nebel

John Francis Nebel, age 89, of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Willow Dale Wellness Village of Battle Creek, Iowa. 

Per John’s wishes, no services will be held.

John Francis Nebel was born on August 11, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, to Leo and Kathryn (Langan) Nebel. He grew up in and received his education from Cedar Rapids High School graduating with the class of 1954. He then furthered his education at Wayne State receiving his bachelor’s degree. 

He is survived by his children Jeffry (Judy) Nebel of FL, Jacque (Jay) Bleil of Anthon, IA, Joel (Staci) Nebel of CA and Jennifer (Andrew) Terwee of Larchwood, IA; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister Florence Finken; brothers Jim and Joe Nebel; extended family and friends. 

John was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Kathryn Nebel; sisters Helen Vana, Mary Batenhorst, Veronica Figenbutz, Dorothy Klein, Teresa Heithoff; brother Jerald Nebel; and great-grandson Jax Nebel.
