“I firat met Marlin while teaching in Odebolt from 1958-1961. Many good memories. Then teaching in Schleswig and staying with Shirley--later Shirley and Marlin married. Al and I always tried to visit Marlin and Shirley and then Marlin when we came to Odebolt Creek Days, etc. We were pleased to last visit Marlin this last June. He will be moissed.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family. My sympathy goes out to all.

“I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I have many happy memories of the Chedester gatherings and how your mom and dad were usually there. I also saw them at weddings and more than a few funerals. Your dad always seemed like a pretty happy guy, usually smiling. My thoughts are with you at this sad time, especially since your sadness is doubled with two losses.”
