In Memory of Domanic Joseph Phelps

Domanic Joseph Phelps, age 10, of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at his residence in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Evangelical Free Church of Arthur, Iowa. The Reverend Glen Lozier will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Schaller Cemetery of Schaller, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Domanic Joseph Phelps was born on October 18, 2005, in Omaha, Nebraska to Samantha Phelps.

Domanic and Samantha made their home in Schaller, Iowa, where Domanic attended school at Schaller-Crestland. The family relocated to Ida Grove, Iowa, and he continued his education at BC-IG Elementary.

Domanic loved swimming, music, watching movies, and his laugher could brighten up a room. He lived for visits to his grandparent’s farm, where Big D (Grandpa Dennis) and Little D (Domanic) had a bond that could stand the test of time. One of Domanic’s favorite past times was to stay up late with his mom and watch Scooby Doo on television. He will be missed by all that knew him. 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Samantha Phelps of Ida Grove, Iowa; brother, Kaidyn Tingle and sister Rylie Tingle of Ida Grove, Iowa; grandparents, Dennis and JoAnn Phelps of Schaller, Iowa; great grandmother, Rosemary Jacob of Galva, Iowa; aunt and uncle Sarah (Lorenzo) Ramirez of Galva, Iowa; cousins, Evan and Olivia Ramirez of Galva, Iowa; and extended family and friends.

Domanic was preceded in death by his great grandparents Loren and Ruby Phelps; great grandfather, Duane Kruckenberg and step great grandfather George Jacob.
