“Roger had a remarkable life and such a legacy. I fondly remember him telling me, at my first family Christmas when I came to in Oda Bolt, when Kari and I were still just dating, that I had a year to do right by him and marry his granddaughter..." none of this bullshit living together." His smile and laugh when he received a bottle of Crown at Christmas still makes me smile. In all of my conversations with Roger he was always a straight shooter, he let me know what was expected and how proud he was of his family. I feel so lucky that I got to know him and that he gave me 'all the blessings' to marry his beautiful granddaughter. His presence and joy at our wedding will be with us forever. Roger will be missed and I'll always cherish those memories. Praying that you’ll find comfort in your memories of him and in the knowledge that others are missing him, too.”
