Ida “Lorraine” Dungan, age 72, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at her residence of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Ida “Lorraine” Dungan, the daughter of Paul and Lucille (Ericksen) Nepper, was born on June 18, 1948, in Ida Grove, Iowa. She grew up in Ida Grove and graduated from Ida Grove High School.
After high school, Lorraine went right to work. You might remember her smile from the Tip Top Café or the Bowling Alley where she worked in her early years. She then started her career at GOMACO and worked in the housekeeping department for 31 years.
On December 4, 1998, Lorraine was united in marriage to Arlen “Mac” Dungan in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple made their home on an acreage outside of Ida Grove. Lorraine enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing, traveling, garage sales and country music. Lorraine and Mac would travel to take in shows and concerts in Branson, at the casino, the Clay County Fair and more taking in some of music’s greatest performers.
Family was important to Lorraine and she adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arlen “Mac” Dungan of Ida Grove, IA; children, Laurie (DeWayne) Krayenhagen of Ida Grove, IA and Thomas Wardrip of Kiron, IA; stepchildren Joseph (Diane Simpson) Dungan of Windom, MN, Jamie (Keri) Dungan of Tenaska, WA, Jay (Tina) Dungan of Carroll, IA and Jill Black of Iowa; grandchildren: Samantha, Jace, Rylee, Austin and Brandt; step grandchildren: Chase, Tyson, Ashonne, Kree, Kennedy, Braden, Terynn, Harrison, Savanah, Payton, Matt and Tyler; brothers, Raymond (Ronda) Nepper of Ida Grove, IA and Paul (Valerie) Nepper, Jr. of Odebolt, IA; sisters, Sharon (Bud) Jepsen of Ida Grove, IA and Elsie (Dale) Danielson of Arthur, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Lucille Nepper; infant sister Jessie Diane Nepper; and brother Charles Nepper.
