In Memory of Taylor Lee Mohr
Taylor Lee Mohr, 9 year old son of Heather (Woodward) Groth and Nathan and Ashley Mohr, of Battle Creek & Ute, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Mapleton, Iowa. The Reverend Marcus Manley will officiate, with burial to follow at the Liston Township Cemetery of Danbury, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek, Iowa. Taylor was baptized at Children’s Hospital in Omaha into the Lutheran Faith. He attended Charter Oak Ute School from Preschool through Kindergarten.
Growing up Taylor loved dinosaurs, swimming, eating cottage cheese and steaks, riding four wheelers, tractors, and dune buggies, and horses, reading books, singing songs, movies ( Cars, Land Before Time, Free Willy, Lion King), and all animals.
Taylor enjoyed his home in Ute Iowa with his Dad and Mom, two brothers and dog Maggie Mae and also his home in Battle Creek Iowa with his Mom and brother.
Left to cherish Taylors memory is his mother Heather (Woodward) Groth; Dad and Mom Nathan and Ashley Mohr; brothers Jackson Groth, William and Henry Mohr; Grandparents Randy and Tammy Mohr, Loni Anderson and Blaine Boken, Harry and Jackie Woodward, Nona Engelke, Great Grandma Charlotte Mosman, Great Grandparents Jan and LaVern Jensen, Great Grandparents Fred and Darlene Mohr, Great Grandma Cat Trucke, Great Grandma Mary Woodward, Great Grandpa Jack Dixon, and Great Great Grandma Matilda Grell; Aunts Haylee Neddermeyer, Mackenzi Swenson (Mohr), Paige Boken, Mykel and Stephanie Brannan, Uncles Heath Woodward, Jared Mohr, Jessie Boken, Cole Rhea, Justin Meyer; Cousins Oliver and Waylon Swenson, Noah Bartlett, Alicyn Neddermeyer. Special friends Nicki Brown, Jen Conto, Danielle Creese and by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by Grandpa Ron, Great Grandpa Ed Trucke, Great Grandpa Robert Dean, Great Grandpa Everett Woodward, Great Grandpa Larry Anderson, Great Grandpa Gordon Boken, Great Grandma Gala Dean, Great Grandma Marlene Dixon Great Great Grandma Blanche Woodward, and Great Great Grandpa Alfred Grell.

I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to have met Taylor. I am blessed to have met you as well. May God bless all of you for the love that you gave Taylor during his time on earth. May you be blessed with peace knowing Taylor is with the Lord and Jesus. Always remember that Taylor is with you always and now you have a little angel watching over you! Until we meet again Taylor!
