Suzanna G. Phillips, the daughter of Delima M. (Bernier) and William E. Phillips II., was born on August 31, 1932, in Rolfe, Iowa. She received her education at Fort Dodge Corpus Christi High School graduating with the class of 1950.

In 1951 during a February snowstorm, Suzanna married Roland Loehr. The couple was blessed with six children: Cynthia, Douglas, Linda, Paula, Craig and James. The family farmed in the Fort Dodge, Iowa, area before purchasing their farm outside Battle Creek, Iowa, in 1966.

She moved to California in the late 1970’s followed by living the RV life for seven years and seeing much of this beautiful country. Upon her return to Battle Creek, Suzanna and her brother, Dan Phillips purchased and renovated the Battle Creek Hospital into apartments where she lived before moving to Nevada for the warmer climate.
