Toni L. Stevens, age 62, of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Beth Vogt will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Ida Grove Cemetery of Ida Grove, Iowa.

A Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Toni Lee (Monroe) Stevens, the daughter of Thomas J. and Georgia S. (Stowers) Monroe, was born on July 7, 1961, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She grew up in and received her education in Valparaiso. After high school, Toni entered the workforce as a manager of a retail store. 

Toni was blessed with four sons: Shawn, Shane, Dustin, and David. In the late 90’s, Toni moved to Ida Grove, Iowa, to be closer to her father. While living in Ida Grove, Toni worked as a bartender at Sportsmans. On June 20, 2015, Toni was united in marriage to Allen Stevens. 

Some of Toni’s favorite things included camping at Crawford Creek and Lake View, riding on the back of Allen’s Harley, and collecting lighthouses. Toni and Allen enjoyed going on spontaneous adventures as well as traveling. Jamaica and Nashville being a couple of her favorite trips. Toni also treasured time spent with her grandson, Adam. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband Allen Stevens of Ida Grove, IA; sons David Zell (Nicole Determann) of Wall Lake, IA and Shane Tilley of South Carolina; stepdaughters Jennifer Stevens of Des Moines, IA, Heather (Stephen) Caskey of Daytona, FL and Kayla Stevens of Coon Rapids, IA; grandchildren: Adam Zell and Zayden Green; step grandchildren: Christian, Michael, Andrew, Adia, Kalena, Amethyst, Marley, and Levi; brothers John Monroe, Wayne Monroe, Carl Klahn, and Troy Monroe; sisters Julie (Gerrod) Sholty and Lisa (Allen) Doely; half-sisters Vickie Gray and Bobbie Klahn; in-laws George and Judy Dillinger; sisters-in-law Connie (Jeff) Bromley, Leesa Peters and her daughter Emma; brother-in-law Jeff (Cathy) Dillinger; special friends Tammy and Kendra; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Monroe and Georgia Klahn; sons Dustin Drum and Shawn Tilley; many aunts, uncles, and extended family.

“To Allan and my nepfew David
My deepest sympathy for your loss of my sister Toni. Even though I was her step sister, I never once felt as a step. She was just always my sister. Toni was raised with our grandparents but my sister Vickie ( my 1/2 Sister not my dad's kid but my mom's )my sister Carla (full) my step brother Troy, my 1/2 brother Carl and my 1/2 sister Bobbie which Carl and Bobbie are Toni 1/2 lived with Mom and Dad. My dad Carl Klahn Sr was Toni step dad. Georgia never treated us a step children. We was just family and I love Toni with all my heart and I pray she in heaven with Mom and Dad and my real mom Dorothy and they are all out dancing. Last time I saw Toni was on a Christmas night and This is so hard but I know she is happy. I know she loved us all. And I will always have our childhood memories and her smile and her voice. She was the cutest little thing so tiny when we were young. That's how I will always remember her. Hugs love and prayers.”
